this is what we did.

While my post was sarcastic, and I now apologize for it. The point I was making remains the same. It’s going to be hard to find talent, good work ethics and experience at wages below the industry standard no matter how well the job market is in the employers favor. Sometimes you have to rethink your game plan to work with what you have available. These day I prefer NO experience as long as they show the personal traits needed to perform the tasks at hand. The rest can always be taught through extensive training.
And while I am no longer employed at the white building downtown. We never considered it a strip property. In our minds it was the best place to stay and play and dine downtown bar none. Now I work at the big white building on the strip since Dec last year.

you didnt.....but two previous owners had aspirations.....Stevie and the other two dorks.... lol

When I worked for the White Casinos in two places....I totally agreed with you....under steve.....they outclassed most strip or AC properties....

Havent been keepin much track of who's where n why I was out sick for 3 months....good luck on the strip.

I agree we're trending more n more towards the inexperienced because our HR Dept couldnt qualify someone for ajob if they HAD to....

The point I was trying to make also is that THERE ARE JOBS OUT THERE PEOPLE.....

In this day and age, corporations don't want qualified workers. Being the best requires dedication and costs money. The rich would rather collect dividends than invest in their workforce.

Right now we have record high corporate profits, record high dividend payouts, and record low taxes on the rich. The Fed is pumping newly printed money hand over fist into the bond market with the stated purpose of increasing corporate profits.

The artificially high corporate profits is being horded and directly funneled to the rich in the form of dividends and capital gains on which they only pay 15% income tax thanks to the Bush tax breaks for the rich that Obama extended.

They have figured out a way to cut out the middle man and funnel the money directly off the printing presses and into their greedy pockets! There is no way they are ever going back to the old way of doing business. Good luck to us all.

My clients daughter went for a job interview at a casino she was in a suit and looked proffessional. When she was waiting for her interview there were other job applicants that were waiting in their pajama's and didn't come prepared. She was told she was over qualified for the job and was over dressed. She later found out the job applicants in pj's were hired. What does that tell you? I am not saying all places are like that but it shouldn't matter what job you are applying for if you are dressed proffessionally that should tell the interviewer that your taking the interview seriously and you want the job.

People came to a job interview and were still wearing their pajama's? I seriously have never heard such a thing.
