The Inland Empire...very well diversified and twice the population of Las Vegas...is now running at over 14% unemployment...and LA and OC are rapidly catching up to us.

Uhhh why is it we want to diversify our economy?

What difference does it make, nothing people are doing in LV is going to diversify the economy anyways. Its just a waste of breath to say we should have a more diverse economy. Sounds good but the effort is often too hard with no return for many years before it happens. And those who know Vegas know the population just isn't into spending money on investments.
