I just bought a nice house in 89145. What is this area called and what do you think of it?

That area is called the ghetto and you made a big mistake...Ha, ha. Just kidding.
It looks like it borders Summerlin. Might be in Summerlin. Don't give us your address or we'll come over for dinner; but can you give us the street. I think you may be in The Pueblo community. If so I'll buy it from you if it looks over the hiking trail in the wash/canyon/whatever. 89145 should be a nice area.
Not sure this map is all up to date but that zip should be. Las Vegas Zip Code Map - Henderson Zip Code Map - Zip Codes

Default Alta and Antelope

I don't think it is by where you are talking about. The closest intersection is Antelope and Alta.

That is generally an area of older housing. Part of the Charlestion communities developed in the 70s mostly. Some newer areas. The quality varies by the block. Has large rental populations in some places. Other blocks are nice stable and often updated homes. There is also an extensive condo community along Summerlin Parkway. A very convenient neighborhood nowadays..right up next to Boca Park and the Charleston developments. Good parks to the west and across Summerlin Parkway.

I don't know of a name for the area. It is city of Las Vegas and in the Northwest. If you want to put on a little hype you could call it the "Angel Park Area".

Hmmm, Angel Park right next to Summerlin! Sounds good enough for me. It's a really cute, well cared for 4 bedroom house with a pool. Two bedrooms are separated from the other two. I didn't want any HAF, that why I went a little further out. Thanks for your help.

I see where you're talking about. It's like olecapt said. Should be an ok neighborhood. What's an HAF?

Send me a PM with the address and I will take a look. That is a diverse neighborhood and I would not consider an opinion without where exactly.

Buzz is just saying the area is a reasonable place to live. I agree.

Never mind. Got it.

Mid sized older home. Charleston Rainbow subdivision. Probably beat up. The immediate neighbors are stable. The surrounding blocks look OK. There are a number of pools and all are blue. Few parked vehicles. It is not Summerlin...and if you did not pay too much it may be a very nice deal.
