My sister and family just were there a few days ago, great to see until they fall off into the Potomac.

Now if I want to go back then I'll go down to Chinatown to see the Caps drive to the Stanley Cup

Well the Lilacs in Rochester NY do a good job in the right year. I have seen both more than once. The cherry blossoms are more consistent...but in the right year go with the lilacs.

I suspect there are displays in the south that blow both all to hell.

Nothing of course gets near the view from Haleakala at dawn. Particularly if you start above the cloud level.

The best sunrise I ever saw was from the copilot seat in a 747 approaching Hawaii from Japan as dawn broke.

Hard to get at that seat though.
