We made it to Vegas on December 16th and haven't looked back! Pulling up to our new home was exciting. The drive from El Paso to Vegas was mind numbing at times, but those moments when I saw the picturesque mountains and Joshua trees were breath taking. After signing all the papers and getting the keys, we couldn't wait to explore our new neighborhood. There is so much of everything here. The grocery stores, shopping, etc. Surprisingly, I haven't gotten lost. I am finding it easy to get around. I just want to say thanks to all who had advice and suggestions. I went to the DMV and surrendered my license to make it official.

I am a Las Vegas resident and loving it!

^^ Good for you. I was wondering if you had made it safely since we hadn't heard from you in awhile.

Is this thread allowed? I thought only "I hate Las Vegas" threads were allowed.

There are a few major north/south thoroughfares and a few major east/west thoroughfares and once you figure which ones apply to you, it's super easy to get around.

Welcome to LV I just got here in October and everyday is a new learning experience. I am also getting the roads down so I can maneuver around better. The weather has been the most positive factor so far how nice it is not to shovel snow scrape ice and all of that winter stuff. Just take it slow and try not to do everything at once lol. Enjoy the new house and the new friends you will make.

It took me a minute to get internet, because we were having so much fun looking around. I have not officially done the Strip yet, except for the time I was looking for something else and ran into it. It's really beautiful at night. I've only seen the huge castle and the liberty, but as soon as my daughter gets settled into her new school, we will take a look see.
