I don't understand why you are so perturbed by this - - especially given that you live in NYC. These new prices aren't out of line for high quality entertainment tickets or for concerts in general. Orchestra tickets for Broadway shows can run well over $200 after fees, and tickets for opera performances for The Met can cost over $300.

I had no interest in Garth Brooks even at the old price, but if people want to pay even $100 more than that to see him, moe power to them. Why is this so troubling to you? I've spent over $200 before for concert and other entertainment tickets in the past, and plan to do so again tomorrow when Bon Jovi tickets go on sale for their show in March ($225 before ticketmaster fees).

I don't see this as the end of the world.

I'm with you MMOB....I wouldnt pay $10 to see Garth Brooks but I would pay $200 a ticket for Melody Gardot....

It's all it what you like....at least Stevie is leading the charge to get things back to normal levels....
