Just so you know, that's a good way to lose your UI. To qualify for UI you must be looking for a job at least three days a week, and in all but a very few professions, the work search must be in person. Self employment may be a good thing, but if you are self employed you do not qualify for benefits unless you can prove that you are still looking for a job, and are able & available to work. In other words, the self employment can't interfere with taking a job if offered, nor can it interfere with looking for a job every week. But as long as you are able & available, and seeking work, you can be self employed on the side, and unless things have changed since I worked there, money from self employment doesn't count as wages. But, if you don't tell the truth when you file your weekly claims, and if you collect UI illegally, they will come after you.

Very true but you just have this as a hobby, and make sure you put in your hours on job search.
