The Lucky Club on Cheyenne/15, which really is not a bad area at all during the daytime. Here is why: It's right off the freeway. Mostly truckers passing through and families stopping for some food to finish their long drive into Utah. It's old, it stinks, but they give you $15 in free slot play with the chance to win up to $100 when you spin the wheel.
Got $15 free, had to put $1 in to start. Left with $41, so won $39. Not bad. Free money.
--
Went to Ellis Island and got our $10 free slot play each. Didn't have to put any money in to start, and left with $23. (Had previously went to Ellis island on monday, got the club card, but they make you wait 24 hours to use your free play. Or it is good for 1 year. We just wanted to go back soon and get it over with.)
--
Bills Gambling hall. Got nothing. But before that, got to go up in the parking garage from hell: Around and around and around and around in sharp circles. I wondered, "Is it ever going to end???" as I tried not to puke all over the driver. The worst part when leaving, he went faster! So I smacked him.
Did get to see fat Elvis sing. I always wondered where he hung out at. Now I know.
--
The Rio: The will give you $10 in free slot play if you have never signed up before. (we did not get our $10 since we signed up 10 years ago and forgot)Also, locals get half off their exceptionally excellent Carnival World buffet during the weekdays, but not weekends. Just show your Nevada I.D. We found ourselves there at around 6pm so we took advantage of that deal. Total for two: $25.50. The food is really good and fresh. The best selection I have ever seen. There is another buffet there, just seafood. We did not go to that one.
--
Palms: Went there and they gave nothing. So we finally gave it up and went home. Too tired. Will resume again on monday. We are not even half done yet.

Pink, don't necessarily judge the casinos on what you do or do not receive when you initially sign up. You may get nothing at first, but then subsequently receive mailings or e-mails offering free play and/or other gifts. For example, last month, my wife and I each received a brochure from M that included coupons for free buffets, a bottle of Bacardi, a bottle of wine, a six-pack of coke, a windshield sunscreen, and other items. My wife and I just received a brochure from South Point that offers $15 free slot play in August, Sept., and October. (I should note that I've never spent a penny in South Point's slots.) We've also received e-mails from Wynn offering free slot play once each week for four weeks from July 12 - Aug. 5. I just received another e-mail from Wynn today offering the same thing for the next four weeks. We also periodically receive mailings from other casinos as well.

Yes, I figured that maybe later on we might be sent something or get other offers. But I just wanted to let people know what they may expect initially. Some of our experiences may not reflect theirs.
Those are some good freebies you mentioned.

Some of the casino's i won't go back to don't necessarily have to do with what freebies we get or not. Some i just don't like the "feel" of it. Or the machines will do that "run around" thing. Playing keno machines for one. You know you have a good machine when the numbers hit on almost any combo picked. But the bad ones, will run all around my numbers no matter what I pick. So those places I will avoid. Aliante station does that as well and that is the closest to us. So we do not go there much.

I also forgot to mention at Jerry's Nugget, you get a free tote bag per person with offers inside.

Actually, they recently made some changes.... used to be mon thru thursday, lunch and dinner, for the local 50% discount.

Now it's mon thru friday, breakfast, lunch dinner, and dinner on sunday (served after the weekend brunch end at 3:30). Definitely going to try breakfast one day soon.

They also allow you to bypass the long lines (made even longer with the addition of the buffet of buffets pass) by paying an extra 5 bucks on the express line. Very worth it in my opinion, still a great deal.

And as long as we're on the subject, for lunch (up until 3pm) they have a great deli counter. Made to order corned beef, pastrami, ruebens, philly cheesesteak. Good stuff, $9.19 after discount and tax, and they start serving dinner dishes at 3:30.

Complete meal at the 24hr Cafe at Rampart Casino in the Summerlin Area, appetizers, entree, dessert and a drink for $8.95 24/7 excluding holidays. It used to be $7.95 but anyway the food is decent but the service is a bit on the slow side.

PF Changs if you can call it Chinese food has a 20% off card for its patrons. We got ours in person at the restaurant but I think you can avail of it online.

Pink, why all the research? Writing a book? Should be fun book, but sounds like alot of footwork.

I only go during the weekdays and I only have two more properties to visit until I am done with Las Vegas casino's. Then later on, it will be off to Henderson, then Pahrump.
I am not writing a book. I am just seeing what we can get for free mostly. Just go in and sign up for a card and see what they give you. Many give free slot play. Some are more generous while some just give you a card and you have to earn points to get things. Just interested in the freebies for now.
If we get free slot play, we keep whatever we won and cash out once the free slot play is over. Free money.
If you don't mind walking A LOT, up to 6 or more hours a day, it can be fun. It's good exercise.
