I didn't either. I guess I would live in Summerlin then as I have almost moved to the southern area you highlighted.

You could do it LVD. The Trop bus line runs all the way to Trop and Grand Canyon. It would take you longer to get to the strip though. Summerlin might go far south, but it doesnt go very far to the east. Your commute to work wouldnt be too bad either, you could just jump on 215 and be there in 10-15 minutes. There's NEVER traffic on that road

That is where I almost moved to. I do not mind a longer ride to the strip as long as it is one bus, and 24 hours. Anywhere along Flamingo or Tropicana is fine no matter how far east or west it is.

You are tuff! I'd be dead! The temperatures still reading 111 at 5:30 this evening. Can't wait for September = football and better weather!

Just out sitting on the patio. Dip in the pool. Get the Admiral to bring me a cocktail and sit and evaporate. Showing about 105 in the shade right now...and just love it. Dog at my feet and cat on my lap. All I need is the LA Times...

Another observation.....

Las Vegans love a cold drink, a dip in the pool and their LA times on a hot day

A cold drink is very good.

I can't swim for medical reasons.

I hate L.A., give me the San Francisco Chronicle any day of the week.

About the Splenda soda...
Whole Foods carries a brand called "Blue Sky" - various flavors. Real sugar or Splenda. It is made by Hansens. Hansens has their own line of diet natural sodas that are sweetened with Splenda. I have seen that line at Vons.
