I looked up on Maxrave's website and it says there's one in the Knoxville Center, but when I looked at the malls website I didn't see it on there. Did it close down or something? Thanks all.

Doesn't Maxraves web site give a phone number? Call them and find out. I haven't been in the mall in quite some time. I have no idea who is still in business there.

No one goes to Knoxville Town Center anymore, do they? Not since that man was murdered there last year....

No one goes to Knoxville Town Center since there is no such place. But people still go to Knoxville Center. The shooting there last year didn't have much of an impact on the mall, certainly not as much as the closing of Dillard's.

I completely agree with JMT. What murder? What man?

Yeah. A crazy guy that was angry about his clothing purchase. I've been back since. It was an isolated incident.

Like JMT said, Dillard's was one of the final nails in that mall's coffin. Stores have been closing ever since. Talk in both malls by employees was the mall was probably going to close after Christmas. I'm surprised there hasn't been an announcement.

I doubt that it will close, but it has definitely taken a low third place to Turkey Creek and West Town. My opinion is that indoor malls will continue a downward trend, unless you live in Minnesota or the like. The Turkey Creek -style open mall and new urbanism faux "Main Street" (see new urbanism Northshore project) are the wave of the future.

The new "main street' is the only type of construction happening in central FL relating to retail.
