Hello, everyone!

I am a new poster to this forum, and I have a question about doctors in the area. I am 29 with no major (known) health problems and am looking for a primary care physician in the West Knoxville or Farragut area. Do you recommend anyone in particular (or have you had bad experiences with anyone in particular)?

Thank you very much for any advice!

We see Dr. Bard from UT faculty, he has an office in Turkey Creek. He's really easy to talk to and answers all questions happily, at least so far.

Red face Hospitalist

I am looking for an internist who admits to and sees his or her own patients in the hospital. I know it is becoming increasingly more difficult. I am not interested in being seen while in hospital by a hospitalist who doesn't know me.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Dr. Milan Sheth in Lenoir City is a good one and has hospital rights at a number of facilities

and for the original poster I have to recommend Dr. Kathy Swicegood at Primary Care Physicians in Lenoir City as well.

Default Love my doctor

I moved here in 2002 and had to find a local physician - Dr. Amy Forsee, Rocky Hill Family Physicians off Northshore (just south of Westtown mall) is fabulous - easy to talk to and very friendly. Everyone in my family see's here and would not want to find someone else. Her office # is 531-1300

Thank you, everyone, for your replies. I am keeping a list and will hopefully find someone soon. My problem is that I am a bit afraid of doctors (actually, medicine more than doctors), and I generally try to keep myself healthy through diet and exercise. However, I suspect I may be anemic and should have blood work to find out. I just don't want a doctor who treats symptoms with a lot of medication instead of trying to find the underlying cause.

Thank you, again, and best wishes to all!
