Yeah.. the T-Bones blow. Their fastest picther throws 84-85 I believe. I haven't played since I graduated 3 years ago but could definitely still compete with these guys. The only good things about T-Bones games is the 2-for-1 drink nights!

I wouldn't think the Tbones would be the place to go drink either though. Seems like it would be a very cheesy place to go if you are younger, college, single etc. The Tbones is more of a family type place right? That's what I gather. Just something for suburban families to do that don't really get into MLB.

But like I said, we tried the Tbones a couple of of times and even my kids pretty much couldn't stand it. They are used to major league baseball and watching it in major league ballparks.
The Royals have been so bad the last 15 years or so I am not sure any of those additions could win the AAA American Association (or whatever it's called). Any MLB team that loses more than 100 games every other season could not regularly beat a .600 AAA team in a series.

I think the T-Bones being in an unaffiliated league is not the best venue. Yea, a basic affiliated A League team is not grand either, but at least you are seeing future talent, not a ball player who is on the way down.

The quality of play between AAA and MLB is significantly different. You'll hear this from current and former players a lot. The worst MLB team would handily win any division full of AAA teams. On the other hand, AAA teams could beat MLB teams from time to time.

I agree on how it is cool to go watch the good young guys, who are 2-4 years from MLB, but the T-Bones are a long way from regularly producing guys who will ever play MLB. They're more on the level of a good high school team. That isn't to say it can never be fun to go to their games.
