Default Semi-mystery Photo

No cash reward for this one. Way too easy.

The sheriff office at this time was in the courthouse, and even though Truman was a county "judge" at the time, I wonder what the significance was of the deputy sheriffs arriving rather than the police. Maybe Truman went downstairs and said "come on boys."

There was a TV movie made in the 80s, maybe, that included the attempted kidnapping. Independence Junior High was used as Bryant grade school.

You know, as a youth I went for years believing that Truman was a court judge presiding over cases, etc., and never learned until later in life that a county judge was just a county commissioner. Jackson County has a different setup now, but I have not followed that change.

I've been to both of those locations many times! My Beloved and I have taken many a train trip from the old Missouri Pacific Depot. We used to play volleyball in the same building as the second photo.
