I thought I'd post a catch-all thread for anything new coming to Jax.

California Pizza Kitchen (Saint Johns Town Center):

http://jacksonville.bizjournals.com/...1/daily33.html

Forever 21 (Saint Johns Town Center)...possibly a second Jax location close behind:

Stats about all US cities - real estate, relocation info, house prices, home value estimator, recent sales, cost of living, crime, race, income, photos, education, maps, weather, houses, schools, neighborhoods, and more
(The link looks funny, but it will get you to Forver 21)

Jimmy John's (San Marco):

Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches

Brunswick Zone (across from Avenues Mall):

Brunswick Zone Home - Brunswick Bowling

Brunswick Zone is coming along. The building is up, not sure how far along the inside is.

So what else is coming to Jax? What have you heard?

- Lit, in Downtown (a new bar/lounge/club near the cluster of others)

- dramatic lighting to Laura Street, in Downtown

- Ale Works Instituition in Riverside ( a new local brewery next to the exisiting local brewery, Bold City)

- Aloft Hotel on Southide Blvd (like the one they have near the airport)

- space port in Cecil Field

- arena football team in Downtown (Jacksonville Sharks)

Of course all this is coming, just as I am leaving!! I wonder if they will close the Forever 21 location in Regency? That poor mall. Old Navy and Charlotte Russe just closed in there. I asked an associate at Regency why they were leaving and he said the rent is twice that of the Town Center store! That seems outrageous to me!

Really? That's still happening? Very cool...but there's gonna be another entertainment destination centered around a bowling alley http://www.latthirty.com/ right next to it. I didn't think they'd both happen.

yay California Pizza Kitchen! No more of their frozen varieties.

They have the absolute best chopped salads. I wish we had them here (in California of all places.....)'

- Zencog bike shop at Stockton & College in Riverside ( a funky bicycle/tea room )

Interesting combo. I'd love to see more bike shops in Jax. I need a basket for the front of my bike, I'll have to check them out.

- Ale Works Instituition in Riverside ( a new local brewery next to the exisiting local brewery, Bold City)

Wait! I want to hear more about this! I love Bold City Brewery! Same people?

I've never eaten at one, their menu looks really good. Wonder if they'll sell frozen pizzas to go?

Nancy - you are kidding, right? No California Pizza in California?? Okay, you must mean in Santa Cruz .

CPK is ok. Their salads are great for lunch, no doubt, but their pizzas are just ok to me.
