The "Tree" at the St Johns Town Center, in front of Maggianos. Taken this evening after dinner at the CheeseCake Factory.

Default Hanukkah too

With Hanukkah beginning on the 21st to 28th this time I must say that there is an unequal concentration on Ch**tmas.
This is a multicultural nation but you wouldn't think so.
Happy Hanukkah

You're more than welcome to start your own thread entitled "Jacksonville Hanukkah Traditions". If you build it, they will come...maybe. LOL

From the OP: "Besides the Christmas tree at the landing and the big signs on the WW GAY building(north of I 10) what other things are traditions for Jacksonville during the holidays? What are some of yours?"

There's another thread about Christmas lights. The knucklehead spamming the Jax forum with their address (see the 2 posts at the top of this thread) just bumped a 3-yr-old thread.

Aww! Eric be kind (it is Christmas) after all he's just a newbie Knucklehead with a total of 3 posts, and probably soon to be sorry he posted his address. Which BTW is right behind the landfill on Sunbeam Rd, where they tried making that 9 hole executive golf course a few years ago. The landfill hills would have made it interesting.

No need to complain, just list the Hanukkah events. Same goes for winter solstice type events, Kwanzaa events, Hindu events, whatever. I think most people would agree this thread is for all events going on at this time of year, not just Christian ones. The more the merrier.

I for one am interested in the Gingerbread Pirate Ship--and I'm pretty sure that's not a Christian event since neither Pirates nor gingerbread are mentioned in the bible (and the pirates who hung out in NE Florida weren't exactly church going folk ).
