Chanukkah or Hanukkah or the Festival of Lights Has nothing to do with Christmas and everything to do with an eight day Jewish Holiday commemorating the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jeruselum at the time of the Maccabean Revolt of the 2nd century BCE.

Hanukkah is observed for eight nights and days, starting on the 25th day of Kislev which according to the Gregorian calender can fall anywhere in late November through late December.(just happens to coincide with Christmas this year a it has before and will again)

My Urgrossmuter(great grandmother) or Muti used to celebrate Chanukkah and bring out the Mennorah every year and also bake these special cookies for the kids, I remember it fondly.

From what I understand the Orthodox Jews are not supposed to speak or spell the name of God. So it would be G-d. I highly doubt the OP was acknowledging the Divinity of Christ

God is God! Christ isn't, as supposedly he was the son of God. Plus to Jews Christ was just a man/prophet and not the son of God. And to an Ortodox Jew Christ is a ''Mamser'' or in english a bastard, If Mary was married to Joseph and Joseph was not the father, then it is likely that Jesus was a bastard.

But enough theological debate, this is not the place for it.

no theological debate wanted. I just thought it odd that the OP didnt spell out the name.

Christians believe that Christ is God Incarnate the 3 in 1 and 1 in 3 ... at least most do

What do they do at St. Johns Town Center?

I think if I lived in Jacksonville, my Christmas tradition would be to build a sand "snowman" at the beach. Maybe even take a photo of it to lure friends up north to come down and visit.
