This needs to be all in one or the other time zone.

Why? Several states are in multiple time zones.

Indiana is the only vertical state.

I consider Florida, Michigan, and Idaho as vertical states. Idaho counties directly south of others are an hour apart. Same in Michigan.

It doesn't matter what shape Indiana is, we should all be in one time zone.

How does that make sense. Let's hypothetically assumed we were Central. Then counties bordering South Bend and Fort Wayne in Michigan and Ohio would have to go back an hour to go to the city next door. Think about the counties in Indiana outside of Cincinnati and Louisville. Does it make sense to you that suburbs of a city are in different time zones than the city itself?

If the whole state were Eastern, then the same problems would happen in NW Indiana and the Evansville area. The bottom line is that it makes no sense to put the whole state on the same time zone.

It doesn't matter to me whether it makes sense or not. I visit Evansville regularly, and I wish we were on the same time zone. Move the time zone boundary to the Ohio/Pennsylvania line for all I care.

No, actually all of Indiana follows Daylight Savings time now CSD610. The only state that doesn't is either Arizona or New Mexico. We need to go back to not observing them though. I hate having to change the clocks like that, seems so pointless!
