Default He has never been popular...

He is dogged -- his determination is what got him where he is, not any broad support.if Blagi did not get indicted he would never have moved up from Lt
Gov...

The ironic thing is the legislature is to blame for failing to come to grips with the state employee pension problem.

They've figured out how to cut the pension in half with a 401k . Now what? The legislature has cherry picked everything except groceries. It's cut services to Head Start, schools, it's closed facilities, we exporting millions of dollars of product. Real estate taxes increased. It does not seem like one penny of income is applied to the pension deficit. Companies are hording cash; they are not hiring.

He's a goner. He'll either lose in the primary or lose the general election.

It is entirely possibly that other better qualified candidates in the primary will fragment the vote and the politicians best able to eek out some freak turn out could triumph. Other candidates may actually be hurt by their name, he reminds stupid people of that insipied show with the "healer" that had Oprah-like appeal....

Maybe, but highly unlikely.

IL has TWO (2 Tourism department that advertises Chicago, Chicago, Chicago, Chicago, Chicago, Peoria, Springfield, Springfield, Springfield, Champaign, Champaign, Rockford, and not much else. Now they are wasting money advertising Illinois on satellite tv.

Chicago may be the biggest fish in the Lake, and it may be the largest city in America behind NYC and LA, but it isn't the 3rd most popular tourist destination. Scottsdale, AZ is. Wasting money on advertising is silly. Quinn and his Chicago pals need to shut down both offices and use the advertising dollars to pay down the pension crisis they continue to whine about while they waste money.
