The local NBC News reported it tonight.

I originally thought any warm body would be an improvement over RodBlog. I was wrong. The Machine has proven over and over in the last 50 years it has low standards and no expectations of its hand picked state-offices.

It needs to share the love.

Sounds like a planted story by Madigan. Quinn is ineffective and spineless but hated? What is there to that emotional over?

He is the most unpopular, not hated.

Most ineffective; largely due to "King Madigan".

Yeah, I would not say hated. He seems like a personable guy. Madigan runs this state and Quinn is a puppet.

Regardless of what he is called he signs the "cherry-picking" bills into law. Personable doesn't mean he has any character, but it says plenty about the party.

We're only a month away from the annual state and Congressional COL for the legislatures. Where will Illinois come from this year? Maybe it will come from the proposed Satellite Tax? I don't think there is anything left in Illinois to cherry pick except Chicago and Cook County.

He's a step ahead of the past two IL governors if he stays out of jail. That reflects nicely on IL politics.

Quinn only won four of the 102 Illinois counties in 2010, but he won the gubernatorial election thanks to good old CROOK county. The Democrats also gerrymandered the crap out of the new congressional district map. Good to see the political machine is still running and well-oiled

A couple of points:

1) Population matters, and that's how elections are decided. Those four counties *still* gave Quinn the majority. If you would like to change the electoral system, then by all means...

2) Do you honestly think that, if there were a Republican majority, those maps wouldn't be gerrymandered in their favor??

Default Who?

Who actually draws these maps? Does anyone know? I have a ton of questions.
