Of course not, the last 2 Democratic governors have done such a fine job!
So how's things working out with Quinn instead of Gov. Brady?!

Seeing as none of us are psychic, there's no way to tell how great or terrible Brady would/wouldn't've been; besides, he lost the election (meaning he isn't nor ever was "governor" Brady), so who honestly cares and what's the point of looking backwards and not forwards?

Well the poster I responded to made the tea bagger remark and although I'm not a big fan, I would rather have some bitter tea than an excess of fatty pork right about now! I found the comment amusing, like the poster was implying, "our state government is awful BUT at least they're not tea-baggers."
Yeah, ok, party loyalty above functioning government.

None of us are treated equally because the legislature is weighted in favor of the largest city.
If every county had *only* one blue and one red in each house to represent us, it would be different. Therefore there are far more legislators from the NE than from any where else in the state. Nothing will change that until how we are represented is changed.

...or other parts of the state attract a larger population so as to compete with Chicago for total votes.

Default Wishful thinking

Ain't gonna happen with 1000 acre farms spread from border to border.

On Chicago news last night, they said the elder Daley might run for Governor. In a film clip they showed him talking about Illinois' government problems and how Quinn and the assembly couldn't compromise.

Y'all did the Daley Dynasty for how long? And complained for how long?. What makes anyone think Daley would fix anything? We would have one more governor sleeping in his own bed in Chicago at tax payer expense.

Don't know about MOST hated but I was at a 4th of July parade where people were booing and throwing things at him. His body guards swept him into a car and drove off... Pretty funny to watch really...

He deserves to be hated and despised. Funny thing though, I cannot remember an IL Governor in a long time that did not deserve scorn Thompson, Edgar, Ryan, Blago, Quinn, they were all pretty nasty characters. There is not one of them I think is a decent human being. But the feeling may be mutual.
