The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors on Wednesday voted to postpone the acceptance of $1.6 million from the state to help pay for illegal immigration enforcement by Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
The Republican-majority board until now has consistently supported Arpaio and generally agreed philosophically with his viewpoint on illegal immigration.
Observers said the decision could signal that the board is concerned by federal inquires into Arpaio's practices and is another example of the toxic political environment between county government and the sheriff.
And you are correct: the hostility is growing against illegal aliens and their enablers--------so, yes, the hammer is dropping.
And I repeat: if you are here illegally---------leave the US while it is still safe to do so; otherwise said criminals will be seized, placed in detention, have their assets taken away then deported to their countries of origin.

As someone who has worked with corrections in the past, I can tell you that it is a matter of time before he gets fired for maltreatment and abuse. He is violating human rights and I believe that this group of county board of supervisors are rethinking their support.
Cutting their food supply, beatings, etc. This is what is really going to bring him down.

Please back up your statements that Sheriff Joe is violating human rights by cutting off illegal immigrants' food supply and beating them. I have never heard of this and believe you're making this up. PROVIDE DATA TO BACK THIS UP PLEASE???

Never heard about cutting off food. Joe just gives them junk.
But the beatings are documented (against all inmates, not just illegals) and he has lost several lawsuits because of this. Try using google to research Joe Arpaio lawsuits.

There was no reason why the lawsuits should have been lost. Even if the beatings were equal treatment they are still violations of human rights. That tells you how corrupt the system is.
