"I came to understand that sacrificing my principles is more expensive to the soul than unemployment is for my wallet," he said.
Now he is refusing to compromise his values by catering to customers who have violated U.S. immigration law.
"I always knew that the bank was doing this," he said. "I just didn't want to be a part of it. So, I deliberately did everything I could every time I worked for the bank to avoid being placed at a branch that was part of this initiative."
As a banking employee who deals with this problem on a daily basis, I have a massive amount of respect for this man who has the guts to quit and place himself into financial risk to stand up for what he believes in. I have this exact same conflict on a daily basis. I'm considering a new line of work after reading this article. God Bless You, Albert Thompson.
I heard a bit of an interview he gave on the Laura Ingraham show yesterday (I am trying to listen to talk radio to understand the need for the fairness doctrine -- still don't see the need ) I've never been, but I wonder if Laura Ingrahams website would have a transcript of the interview?
Anyway -- he sounds like a great young man and I hope that he is able to find a job suitable for a man with integrity soon.

I heard this story a couple of days ago as well. Talk about putting your money where your mouth is. This man is a hero
You and me both. Those who are forced to endure the same travesty in their workplace should circle their wagons in protest around this hero. I'm sure there are at least a few hundred thousand of them working under identical circumstances..
IMO, I'm wondering what legal rights the Banks have, to deal with or do business with illegal aliens, illegally in our country. Couldn't the Bank employee file suit against the Bank for trying to make him break the laws as apart of his job? Also, IS the Bank is breaking federal laws by doing business with illegal aliens.

No, enforcing the law is obviously racist--only in the eyes of corporate greed and illegal alien apologists who will fight to ensure such practices continue regardless of the laws and what they stand for. Furthermore, if banks are held liable for such illegal acts then the banks will claim that said acts were "accidental" or some other shameless BS.
