Wouldn't matter, they will just hitch a ride on a train all the way back up again... like they did last time... you need extremely secure walls to deter them.... North Korea has a minefield, I haven't seen anyone crossing that thing to get to the other side lately....

or chip repeat offenders and nab then when they re enter. once aprehended we can stick them in a labor camp for 6 months. or a year.
why dont we have labor camps? CA is building this ridiculous "health center" for inmates, complete with yoga studios, bk courts, pools, etc etc. its like a club med! jail aint supposed to be nice and cozy.
we make jails less inviting and when people end up there they will think twice about committing crime again.
if the punishment for repeat offenders is severe enough people will not want to come back.
that might solve some of these issues.

Yes, our prisons are jokes. I can’t recall the prison, but one purchased a new 60 inch plasma TV so the inmates could “enjoy” the Super Bowl.
I’m a little ambivalent about using mines. However, I think some type of electrical devise needs to be installed on the border fences. Not enough to kill, but enough juice to cause excruciating pain.
wow i hope you guys are joking about a minefield. It's a bad idea because it will kill or maim innocent people. What we need is a huge wall like the one that separates Israel from the West Bank and BP stationed every mile.
Repeat breaking in is of course a felony. The punishment needs to be 6 months in a tent city in the middle of nowhere followed by deportation on a leaky cattle boat to the southern tip of Meheko. Throw the book at offenders who have committed more serious crimes.
