Napolitano wants the U.S. to substantially reform the visa system, by allowing more foreign graduates in engineering and the sciences to come here. She also wants to expand the number of visas allowed to Mexicans. Napolitano notes that although the Dominican Republic has only 8 million people to Mexico's over 100 million, the Dominican Republic receives more visas per capita than does Mexico. This means that a Mexican has to wait more than ten years to obtain a visa. Fixing this, she says, should be part of a long-term immigration policy that would "widen the legal labor pool and match the evolving labor needs of the United States."

She also supports a temporary worker program. Napolitano believes that we must "create a strict, stringent pathway to citizenship." Such a pathway would include "a substantial fine, learning English, having no criminal record, keeping a job, paying taxes, and getting in the back of the line and waiting your turn." She strongly opposed those sections of the 2007 Senate legislation that required a touchback and required that temporary workers spend two months a year outside of the United States.

Obviously, Janet has been bought by the elites who own this country. She has essentially sold her soul to the devil in return for a cabinet position. She said all of that when she could have simply stated, “Let’s grant them amnesty.”

If they aren’t required to leave the country, how are they getting in the back of the line? Furthermore, as inept as our government is, how will criminal background checks be conducted on millions of illegal aliens? This is a joke, but it’s not funny.

You've given them far more credit than I. I'm still stuck at the beginning phase: How in the world are they going to verify anything these criminals tell them, starting with who the hell they really are.

Agreed. Their lies and deception have become so entrenched, and they have used so many aliases, even they may not know their true identity anymore.

To echo benicar and jdubsmom, a pathway to citizenship is Amnesty by any other name. Really, the back of the line? They should be deported, that would be the only fair way to do for the people who are waiting in their native countries for their visa. Yes, but they are not rewarding the illegals?

Agreed. They should be finger-printed and identified on the way out. They should also be banned from ever entering this country again.

President Obama's own relatives have been illegal aliens in this country; and that's a fact. His aunt from Kenya refused to leave after her Visa expired and (of course) she was given yet another year to stay here. Although I am concerned about the drug cartels from Mexico - I am also concerned about the increase in Middle East immigrants. It's a bit alarming if you read Napolitano's latest report; in it she is labeling and calling our own military veterans terrorists and a safety threat to our country. Men and women who hazarded their lives for America is now considered our enemies? If the lastest photo is correct shouldn't we be concerned when our President bows before a Saudi King while his appointed secretary calls the Heros of our country a threat to us? Something is WRONG!!!!

Not just something, everything is wrong when our laws are not being enforced by those in our government including, but not limited to the POTUS.

Again the Obama blasts his own country to none other than the dictator Hugo Chavez. Calling America disengaged and dictators. Needless to say the Chavez klan gave Obama a round of applause. Hugo is Venezuala's dictator and is said to be a drug lord. The President also received a round of applause in France when he called America arrogant. It seems the President of the United States doesn't like us Americans very much. Shouldn't he be more grateful - especially to our veterans? Well, at least Michelle Obama was finally proud of America when her husband was elected we disgusted her before then - she had nothing positive to say that I've heard or read about us Americans before then. Wake up America. Obama is friendly with the world dictators, bad mouthes American people and looks at our war veterans as a threat. Perhaps he's spent to much time kneeling before the Saudi dictator.
