The Daily Citizen, Dalton, GA - ELECTION: Chitwood prevails again

Nix campaigned on the issues of illegal aliens, drugs and gangs. He said the “business community and law enforcement had turned a blind eye” to illegal aliens and gangs.

Chitwood noted that illegal immigration is a federal violation and cited the 287(g) program that the sheriff’s office implemented this year as a step toward catching illegal aliens who commit crimes. The program gives jailers access to a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement database that alerts them if an individual who is arrested is in the country illegally.

Thank goodness that there are still some reasonable people living in this country.

Georgia already has a big illegal immigrant population and needs as many anti-illegal law enforcement officers possible.

Unfortunately Obama and company will proceed to legalize illegals post haste. After all they helped to elect him and he owes them. Thank you ACORN.
Its a novel idea. Don't punish people for breaking the law reward them instead. This will make them regret their actions much quicker than accountability ever will.
