Civil rights activist Reverend Al Sharpton is butting heads with an Arizona sheriff who has built a reputation on cracking down on illegal immigration.Sharpton is calling on Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio to resign because of alleged racial profiling and other civil rights violations by his deputies.
Arpaio conducts controversial police sweeps, sometimes in the middle of the night, to round up alleged illegal immigrants.
Hispanic leaders, and now Sharpton, accuse Arpaio of targeting people of color.
Sharpton says he'll travel from New York to Arizona to confront the Phoenix-based sheriff.

Why is he concerning himself with illegal immigration? Has he run out of African Americans to rile up? Can we say "He's looking for a Latino vote"?? Anything withAl Sharpton behind it becomes laughable!

Instead of looking to blame the illegal "man", why aren't you asking why Blacks are being the most hurt as far as competing for jobs with non-English speaking, low skilled, no education having border jumpers.
What was the African-American unemployment in the past before illegals allegedly stole their jobs?
That percentage you give, is that reflecting the current economic situation?
How are Latinos, Asians, African immigrants' doing as far as unemployment, and how are their unemployment numbers allegedely being affected by illegals?

I remember when he protested the death of a young black kid that was chased by a white mob onto a busy highway in a predominately italo-american neighborhood. the neighborhood turned out in force and bombarded his parade with watermelons. Sad that the kid got killed, but for him, just another incident to play the race card. For me, the man lost any shred of credibility after the Tawana Brawley incident. She was a young black girl who stayed out all night, was afraid of her father finding out, then cooked up a story of kidnapping and rape. She wrote some things on herself, smeared dog crap on herself, put herself in some kind of laundry bag and laid out on the front lawn till someone found her. The story hit those a**holes in the news the next day and off things went. You could actually see she was being deceptive on the 6 o'clock news the next day, but who cares? We got a cause. Big Al blamed the prosecutor Steve Pagones of a HUGE cover-up. He ruined the man's reputation, and when the truth came out, apology? Are you kidding me? The man is a self-serving tool.
