I think illegals and their supporters are under the impression Obama's victory equals an amnesty mandate. They don't realize many people who voted for him (including some Hispanics) also vehemently oppose illegal immigration. Let him try to pass amnesty.

Dreamies had better be thankful for DACA, because that is all they will get.

They also don't realize many people voted for him for reasons that had nothing to do with immigration, legal or illegal. They assume that Obama's winning means everyone who voted for him is in favor of amnesty.

Let me ask you this. Do you think it is ok for someone to better their life at the expense of others and breaking the law to do it? I don't and those who do that deserve our anomosity.

Obama has promised CIR. Any illegal immigrant allowed to remain here without returning to their country of origin first and applying to come here legally is being granted amnesty, IMO. Our immigrations laws don't need reforming they need enforcing. I wouldn't call amnesty "reforming" our laws. CIR is just the PC term for amnesty.

You're right. I highly doubt that other than the 70% of the Latino vote that he got that any significant numbers of the non-Latino vote had anything to do with his promise of amnesty. A lot of it had to do with social issues and socialism for them. Most people vote along party lines.

Everyone except a few hetrosexual males? Do you put any thought into what you write? Voting age population for US citizens is around 235,000,000. Obama got 65,652,000+ votes, Romney got 57,810,000+. Get a calculator and do the math.

You just showed your true colors: you want amnesty for illegal aliens. MOST Americans don't. I def don't.

So, Obama "owes" Latinos amnesty? Do tell. I wonder what he owes the millions of non-Hispanic voters whose votes gave him a second term.
This white chick also voted for Obama...long story short, lesser of two evils in my mind...he owes ALL of us what's best for ALL of us.

We don't NEED immigration reform and we don't OWE illegals anything except a one-way ticket home.

If they want to better themselves they should do so by making demands on their government and not ours. The people in question want our tax dollars, want to shove their language down our throats and want racially based benefits in this country. Why you have such respect for people who break this country's laws, burden our educational system, pay almost nothing in taxes yet happily take welfare benefits and prop up dicatorships in their own countries is something I do not understand at all.

What incredible hypocrisy. But what else can one expect from that country? They don't want their badly educated underclass and they sure as hell don't want ours. But somehow Americans are supposed to support both.

And this is why this country is going down the toilet. We keep lowering the bar. Really there are only two things keeping me from fleeing north to Canada at this point: my family, and my fear of the extreme cold.

Word has it the Vancouver area is quite nice. IF I had to leave the US; I'd go there.

The Canadian government has put a hold on skilled immigrant visas at the federal level; provinces can grant them too, and some still are, but British Columbia isn't one of them. I could get one for Quebec easily though, since I speak French.
