Which group or groups of immigrants significantly contribute to the economic betterment of the US.? They break into this country and don't contribute and have no particular interest in learning to speak english. Their are whole neighborhoods in this country where english is the foreign language. We are living in 2012 not 1890-1930 when american needed immigrants to build this great country. Most of our government officials both local and national seem to think we are still at the turn of the 20th century.

It is ludicrous for anyone to make the statement that humans should be able to cross another country's borders at will to take jobs, benefits and reside there without permission of their governments or the citizens of that country. A nation without borders ceases to be a nation. It is always interesting to me that the U.S. is the only country that isn't allowed to have immigration laws according to the people who make those kinds of statements. No other country is criticized for having immigration laws but ours.

It isn't only rich people of that mindset though. It is also the mindset of many far left liberals and ethnocentrics.

The mayor made the comments at a panel discussion that also featured Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas and at which a report on why the U.S. is failing to attract and retain talent was unveiled.

+

The report said that the country faces a projected shortfall of 230,000 qualified workers in the science, technology, engineering and math fields by 2018 and that other countries are outmaneuvering the U.S. for talent with immigration policies that attract and retain skilled workers

His high school dropouts who don't speak English are not "talent." They are Richardo's problem not ours. Bloomberg's another billionaire idiot. He heads a school system that's overcrowded and unfunded. The last thing the New York City schools need are more non-English speakers who take up tax dollars. Policies that force ordinary middle class workers to pay for Mexico's underclass are the surest way to push out workers New York City needs.

Meh...no you won't.

Anyway, when i see the folks on the right making a strong endorsement of the idea that we start shutting down and boarding up medium to large sized corporations that hire illegals, then i'll know you guys are serious.

Until then...YAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWN!!!

Why should we need to shut them down or board them up when it is usually the HR or department managers that hire them due to same ethnicity? House of Raefords comes to mind along with IFCO.

The Postville raid (Agriprocessors, Inc.) was endorsed for being completely shut down since the owner himself was involved, it was Progressives that cried that illegals were now being displaced and the town was going to become a ghost town.
