I've heard about some real bad blood between PR's and other Hispanics, especially Mexicans and even Chicanos. Why I don't know.
Well...For one thing Puerto Ricans have something illegal aliens covet---Puerto Ricans are American citizens, thus able to work legally anywhere on US soil.
Plus, so many Puerto Ricans have been victims of ID theft by illegal Hispanics that the Puerto Rican government had to take the unprecedented step of declaring all Puerto Rico issued birth certificates null and void. Now, if native-born Puerto Ricans need a copy of their birth certificate, they have to jump through many hoops to get a secured, certified copy.
Since so many Puerto Ricans have been victims of ID theft by illegal Hispanics, some Puerto Ricans have been arrested for crimes that they didn't commit. For example, a man who ran a newstand at the San Juan airport came to work one day and was greeted by FBI agents who handcuffed and arrested him because he supposedly had warrants for his arrest in Texas. Turned out that the man not only had never been to Texas but he was a victim of ID theft.
Some years back, an illegal Guatamalan woman, who was living in Minnesota, was driving without a license and drove through a stop sign. She ended up hitting a school bus and killing 4 kids. When arrested, she gave them ID that said that she was Puerto Rican. The police doubted it and did some digging. It turned out that she somehow had stolen the identity of a Puerto Rican born woman who was living in New Jersey.
Not to mention that when it comes to jobs, unskilled Puerto Ricans, in large numbers, have been displaced in the work force by unskilled illegal aliens.
So...there is no love lost between Puerto Ricans and illegal Hispanics. Puerto Ricans like that traitor Luis Gutierrez are a disgrace.

Agreed and a few anglo whites, Blacks and Indians with Spanish sounding last names, not just our American Hispanics, too have been hurt by Hispanic illegal aliens and fraud.
Our neighbor is from the Philippines. His parents brought him here legally when he was a child. I was telling him that since he has a Hispanic name, he needs to keep an eye out for possible ID theft by illegal aliens. This really surprised him! Needless to say, he is no fan of illegal aliens.
I once read about a woman whose last name is "Bien". She wasn't Hispanic but since "bien" is a Spanish word, her name and SSN were being used by 23 illegal aliens.

My wife who used to post in here reiterated a story of personal experience on that. She used to work with a large group of Filapinos and many of them had their SS numbers stolen with the intent of using them to gain unemployment benefits. It created a mess at tax time for them. It was discovered that a ring of illegal aliens had done it. Not saying that Americans don't steal other's identities to commit fraud also but we have enough of our own home grown criminals without adding illegal foreigners to the mix.
And the fact that most of the illegal aliens have come from Mexico comes as a surprise to you?
No, the fact that if you mention this fact you are called a racist surprises me.
