Since we do not use ours anymore, We can use Mexico's

There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools, no special ballots for elections, all government business will be conducted in our language.
Foreigners will NOT have the right to vote no matter how long they are here.
Foreigners will NEVER be able to hold political office.
Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs.
Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.
If foreigners do come and want to buy land that will be okay, BUT options will be restricted. You are not allowed waterfront property. That is reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.
Foreigners may not protest; no demonstrations, no waving a
foreign flag, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our president or his policies, if you do you will be sent home.
If you do come to this country illegally, you will be hunted
down and sent straight to jail.

Harsh, you say?...............

The above laws happen to be the immigration laws of "MEXICO"

Our cradle to grave socialism attracts them, and nothing is done to stop anyone from simply moving on over. Some work, some come only for the welfare handouts, and many use a combination of both.

The cost of living in the USA is simply too high for most illegals to make it on their own here. The whole purpose in them being brought in is because they'll work for very low wages but no one can live on those low wages and support a family here on them.

I think what you meant to say was "what excuse do we have for a weaker enforcement?".

And you're right about what our Government appears to be unable to do. This is why many, if not most, Americans desire immigration ENFORCEMENT, and not necessarily immigration changes that would give amnesty to, or further illegal migration, unabated. Immigration is in-fact "broken", but only by those who break our laws and who fail to enforce them.

Although, to be honest, I would like to see the 14th amendment interpreted (not necessarily changed) by the courts to only allow US citizenship to children born to US citizens. And then of course, remove all social services from all non-citizens. IOW, you would have to legally join America through Citizenship, and forsake all other foreign ties, in order to participate in what America has to offer. But thats just me...

So you want a change to the 14th? It's again debatable what tradition is interpreted. We're basing it on the tradition of jure soli, before the 14th.

Yes, I would like to see the courts interpret "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" to mean more than they currently do.

And yes, I realize how Constitutional law was established and why the amendments were put in place. I put my daughter through law school, she's an attorney, and we've had many, many discussions, as well as our own debates...LOL...concerning it.

Did you have something to add to the thread?

What do you think of Mexican immigration policies? A rather salient point given that the majority of illegal migrants are from Mexico, don't you think?

Why should Americans welcome the massive migration of low skilled, non-English speaking Mexicans who take social services and offer nothing in return? Worse, violate our immigration laws, lower wages for low skilled natives, show little inclination to demonstrate loyalty to America by becoming fluent in English or applying for American citizenship and in general make it harder for communities and law enforcement officials to determine even basic questions such as who lives here on any given day.

The Mexican government is a particularly egregious offender. Mexico is not a poor place. Mexico is merely corrupt. By exporting their lower classes all they do is keep their status quo in place and allow it to continue to be ruled by a handful of oligarchs. The net result is that Americans are punished for Mexican corruption, overpopulation and ludicrous sense of entitlement.

Most Americans do not benefit when Mexican junior high school dropouts choose to walk over the border and settle here without permission. On the contrary we suffer with increased school crowding, lawlessness and a population that acts as if American laws are optional even on American soil.

If many of us are sick of it well we have every right to be.

You have yet to answer these pertinent questions.

I will answer it for you, those oligarchs youre talking about are the same politicians that are welcoming them, I can assure that america can
stop illegals at the border. what does an illegal have that makes such a good invader? does he have

a F-35 THAT cost 191 million dollars or the whole program almost 400 billion dollars.

or does an illegal have an M1 abraham? 6 million each of thousands of them in americas arsenals

or does illegal paying a coyote 3,000 dollars compare to americas

880 billion dollar budget?

I bet any anti illegal would wet their pant in joy if instead of sending the militia to the border they would send 500 abrhams and not harm nobody, just display some firepower to the invader thats all it would take for the illegal to say you know what, MAYBE THEY REALLY DONT WANT ME HERE...

I love the last cartoon

is all I have to say about the above rather incoherent sentences.

If you're trying to imply that other things cost us money well so what? We're not discussing those other things are we? If you're trying to imply that American businesses welcome illegal migrants well some do and some don't. So what? Just because a group of greedheads wants to lower wages doesn't make the guy crossing the border any less culpable.

You want to immigrate here? Um okay. Do so legally or don't come here at all. More importantly do not come here and be a financial burden on me. I do not get up in the morning and go to work so you can have a better life. Frankly I don't give a damn if you have a better life. That is not my responsibility. If your decision to immigrate here results in a worse life for myself I reserve the firm right to tell you to get your damned hands out of my checkbook and get your rear back home.

No one subsized my grandparents when they came here. I am not about to subsizide you. The American public is firmly against illegal migration. Period. We've repeatedly made it clear that we do not want people breaking our immigration laws. I don't give a damn that a significant percentage of Mexicans feel the god given right to ignore that fact.

Why is this so hard to understand?
