Are there any call centers or office jobs in these northern cities of Idaho? I know that Boise and the like have them, but I don't really care to be in a large city. I'm looking to relocate in the hopefully not too far future if possible.

Jobs are not super plentiful, but then again our population is very small. People need to keep that in mind. Bonner county's population is 1/3 that of ONE SoCal suburban city, yet we're spread across 1920 square miles.

So by percentage, the jobs picture isn't that much worse than some parts of the country, but worse than others. However, decent-to-high paying jobs at larger companies are just numerically under-represented in this area. A tourism-based economy (as we've become since the mid-90's after the timber industry flatlined) doesn't lend itself to a large employment base beyond the service sector.

Have any of you heard what happened to TransluSense? They are/were a tech start-up that moved into a warehouse on the Coldwater Creek campus. They were looking to hire up to 130 employees according to newspaper articles. Their website doesn't work and the social media pages haven't been updated in months. That's not a good sign but if there is something I'm missing and they are still operating in Sandpoint it's worth researching for job prospects.

Looking around their FB page I found a post directing to their new web site translusense.businesscatalyst.com .. didn't see anything about jobs on there though.

That's great news!
I'm old school, but if I have a chance, I'm willing to try one of those glass keyboards out.
The Consumer Electronics Show is mighty tough competition. TransluSense must be making a good product to have such a hit there.
