I know when I answer the door it is with guns-a-blazzin, unless it is the UPS guy or someone else bringing me stuff...

You gotta do what we do...we hang a safety orange vest on our front gate, so any delivery men can approach the house without being shot. You never know when you'll mistake the big brown truck for a trespasser...hahaha...

Hello - I just joined the group. I have been lurking for months checking out some of the posts and some have really made me laugh. I am formerly from the Silver Valley, but at that time I was working in CDA. This event was years ago: I was driving a friend's car and the clutch went out on me. I was stuck on the hill just out of CDA (forgot what it is referred to as), and had to pull over. This was pre-cellphones and early evening. A man pulled over, he said he had seen me on the way up, went all the way to the top (this was before the new bridge too), went all the way back down and started back up to get to me. I thought, "oh yeah, here we go, time for me to get killed". Absolutely the nicest guy. He took me back to my office. He went completely out of his way to help me.

My dh and I drove back to Wallace this past May for Depot Days. I saw some folks I had not seen in many years. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming.

Just my thoughts. Thanks.
