The MT ratings make me a bit more skeptical of the two (Palisades and Telluride). One comes in at number 1 and the other comes in at number 4, yet they are built on the same chassis, with identical running gear, suspension, etc. How can one rank so much lower than the other? It does make you wonder. One is assembled entirely in the US, while the other is assembled in Korea.
Please don't think because I have my doubts about these ranking that I don't like both vehicles. We will be waiting a year or so before we pull the trigger on another SUV and these are both at the top of our list presently.

This has always been a problem with the ratings. A lot of twin products (Chevy, Pontiac for onw) would rate differently, sometimes the reliability of the same engine was better for Buick and bad for GM. A lot of possible explanations, but this is what ratings come up with.
