HSV is used as an abbreviation for Huntsville. It's also the official designation for the airport.

The city's presentation is linked below with renderings and site plans. I'm glad something is happening on this site. The architecture in the presentation is not great. The first phase has half the site covered in a surface parking lot. Although later phases will replace this.

Yes the final look will be pretty nice, especially with the linear park through the middle. Also interesting that the hotel will be on the west corner overlooking Pinhook creek. Think most would have thought it would be on the Monroe/Clinton corner. But if you look at the last slide you can see the relationship beteween the hotel and the new greenway. The taller office building is more appropriate and impactful at the other end of the block Overall very nice, but it would be better to have variations in the apartment building heights.

This buildout would be ideal, but I already see inconsistencies from this plan and the phase 1 plan they presented. The phase 1 plan has a parking deck fronting most of Monroe Street which is not ideal. It also list the office building on the corner of Clinton and Monroe as 8,880 square feet of Office/Retail. If that is accurate I don't think we will be getting the building from the rendering.

yeah we will need some clarification because in the presentation the first phase would include 26,000 sq ft of retail and 40,000 sq feet of office space.

in the presentation Mr. Davis stated.

The city has set several requirements for developers to complete.

“They are required to build 400 urban-styled apartments, 26,000 sq feet of supporting retail, the first office building has to be at least 40,000 sq feet and we fully expect more office to be part of the project,” says Davis.

I like it. I pass by there all the time lately due to a couple doctor appointments.
