Full write up on the previously announced Neurology Residency program. I imagine a Neurosurgery Residency will likely be coming along in the next few years as well.

I love reading that article about Marshall, WVU and other colleges working together for the economy but when I see pictures of the Rock Creek development site all I can think of is "boy that would be a good place for a decent airport." Honestly, to do business you have to have good access to the air. West Virginia doesn't have that.

As of Oct. 18, the beer sales have generated $70,948 in gross income and $66,306 in net income, Brandi Jacobs-Jones, senior vice president of operations and chief of staff, told the university's board of governors on Wednesday.

The HerdZone Stadium Store, which was paid for by Marshall's campus store merchandiser and opened at the beginning of the season, is also paying off.

Year-to-date, the store has generated $74,076, as compared to the $23,016 generated from the popup kiosk during the first three home games in 2016.

In other business, the board approved the findings of the annual audited financial report for fiscal year 2016-17, performed by Bill LeClaire of CliftonLarsonAllen LLP.

LeClaire told board members Marshall has the best composite financial index ratio of all four-year universities in the state, meaning the university is in the best financial health.

I noticed a couple of days ago that they were doing some drilling for core samples by the Byrd Center. I would assume this is a precursor to starting construction on the new buildings for the med school there. That'll really change the look in that area.
