Well, I guess engineering isn't as great in Houston as I thought it was. Dang, I'm an aspiring civil engineer who would love to move to Houston! Maybe I'll look somewhere else!

Engineering is a broad topic. UT has a good engineering program though; one of the tops in the country.

Oil and frikkin' gas when your DB president or his suCK-cessor stops playing games and starts suckin' on the teat of 'cheap' energy when reality comes and bites their asses.

Your country is just a gnat's **** away from being China's ***** so stop dreaming.

I think it's best to warn you. It's not a good idea talking about China around me, it really puts me into a bad mood. Just letting you know, as a warning, because I have been known to get very aggressive when the matter comes up.

Right, so USA and China:

USA: 14,430,000,000,000$ is our GDP
China: 4,814,000,000,000$ is China's GDP

The USA is not about to go anywhere, you heard? China has decades to go before it takes over economically, the Global Recession affected everyone including China, just to a lesser extent.

Yes, China's economy growth is 5.3% and USA's is 2.4%. Yeah China's growing faster, but it has eons to go before it can say it has the largest economy in the world.

Oh and don't even get me started on Per Capita income for both countries, when you see both you will see as to why people are better off here. And no don't even play that "their population is larger" trash, it gets old. We're talking about the same country that puts restrictions on how many children are born in a household, surely they should have thought about their over population problem.

So until it overtakes our economy, shut up and sit down...(not trying to sound harsh, but stick to the topic)

You hit the nail on the head.

Also, lets not forget Houston huge shipping port! It plays a vital role as well.

I don't have any idea what will surpass Oil & Gas. But I hope it's Medical. I'm going to school for Radiology, and the Medical field doesn't look like it's going anywhere in Houston. So, I am heading that way.

China's currency manipulation game could bring the US$ house of cards down whenever it wants......the only reason they don't is because they play the long game. Stop thinking short term, take your head out of your rectum and the way the game is going to play out is plain to see.

As for your 'warning' I'm still laughing now
