There are over 2000 neighborhoods in Houston proper alone, not to mention Clear Lake, Katy, Tomball, Sugar Land, etc. I don't think there is enough room here to do over them. We don't have a "good" and "bad" side of the tracks - it's a patchwork quilt.

I have never been in a gun fight and only a few regular fights and I am not in a gang and I don't have anything to do with a gang. I know some people in a gang but thats it. I have nothing that is a gang color. Black is not really a gang color Southwest Cholos X3 uses black but I would consider them an orignization not really a gang like the lollypops.

I am a 28 year old professional female in the oil business. I have lived in several areas around town. Until recently, I worked downtown. So those are my qualifications, here is my two cents:

*Rent a house- there are plenty of reasonable places to rent INSIDE THE LOOP.

*By the way, when people say INNER LOOP or INSIDE THE LOOP, they are almost always referring to the area directly west of downtown (south of 20th Street, north of Holcombe, extending outside of the 610 Loop to Chimney Rock, south of I-10 outside 610 Loop West, and north of 59 outside of 610 West Loop).

*If you have a young family, I suggest looking in zipcodes 77027, 77019, 77056, 77057.

*Single or with roommates, I suggest 77019, 77006, 77005, 77007, 77008, 77009 (be careful here), 77056, 77027, 77098, 77030.

*Family with teenagers, I suggest outside the loop, MEMORIAL area.

*Washington Avenue is full of townhouses and bars. This is just south of the historical HEIGHTS area.

*Larchmont is a great neighborhood by the Galleria- lots of singles and young families.

GOOD LUCK!

If you encounter them just make a S, W, then C and they will take off like a cat. Im not afraid of them but there are these people called the crabs their color is blue. They specialize in hunting down Southwest Cholos X3. Be warned that southwest cholos X3's color is black. If you are wearing things that are black it would be very easy for the crabs to mistake you for a southwest cholo.
FINALLY, I get an explanation for "Lolly Pops". So are Southwest Cholos "Sugar Smacks"?

Now that is not true. My house is worth a bit less than that and I daresay there is a lot less crime in my area than most of Houston and is a nice neighborhood. Is it Better Homes and Gardens? No. It IS a well kept older neighborhood though.
