I'll be visiting Houston soon to start looking at houses. I noticed that there are a lot of very nice houses for reasonable prices in Woodlake/Briar Meadow. It appears to be an easy commute. Question : What's the catch? Is this an unsafe area? Thanks!

My wife and I are also looking at this area. We have looked at a few houses so far that fit our budget. The neighborhood seems nice enough.

The only catch may be the HISD schools. That and the crime near 59. It definitely does have the advantage of being closer to inside the loop than a lot of neighborhoods.
