Yes, I don't like tea, and I know it's the "official" southern beverage. Oh yea, I don't like Coke that much either.

And there's nothing wrong with you. There are plenty of southerners who don't like some southern foods. I'm not crazy about sweet tea, candied yams, pork chops, ham hocks, and I won't eat cornbread by itself.

What I mean is that I can't just eat a plain old piece of cornbread, like some people can. I either eat it with butter and syrup (yes, I know that's country), or I have to mix it up in something else like beans or gumbo. Ever had cornbread with some homemade chili, rice, cheese, and butter? That's some good eatin right there.

The real country folks, here in Houston and other parts of the south, take their cornbread and heat it up in the microwave with some milk and sugar.
