Also, do you think that's the reason Top Chef didn't record any shows out of Houston? Not "Southern" or "Cowboyish" enough for "Top Chef - Texas"?
Think about it. When's the last time someone told you they were about to go round up some cattle? How many people do you know that even own a horse? The rodeo is just entertainment nowadays.

The closest you'll most likely come to cowboys in Houston is the folks who do trail rides around town, but they do that elsewhere in the south.

And people in the City of Dallas do round up cattle? I think you don't like the stigma attached to Houston. I get it.

I don't care what you guys say, but reading these posts, Houston is indeed southern. (I HAVE NOT BEEN THERE; I KNOW!)

What's funny is that Louisiana has a cowboy culture about as prominent as Southeast Texas, but you never hear their southerness being questioned.

Fort Worth is the city for that.

When the stigma gets in the way of reality, yes it is annoying.

I saw cattle the other day along HWY 6 North, between I-10 and Clay Rd. Maybe it's not that crazy to see in Houston?
