I agree, it doesn't have a lot of ambience these days. I assume they are keeping it bare bones and putting off any sort of upgrades just trying to make the place work financially. That's why I think that revamping it and going upscale might be the answer. Other than student night, the typical Angelika moviegoer probably has more disposable income than at the suburban theaters and would be willing to pay for a better "experience." At least those I know would be.

We use Angelika every time it is an option, but it is a bit depressing in there.

Hmm, I haven't been to the Angelika in a while... not since 2004, I don't think. I don't remember it being as bad as all that. It was actually kind of nice back then. It must have really gone downhill in the past few years.

I don't see a problem with the place at all. The concession stand is nice, it's not dirty inside and well kept, and I don't need posters. I don't have a problem with the ticket booth, and you can also buy tickets on a machine inside without waiting.

I agree there aren't many patrons.

Yeah I miss the Greenway - I liked going there. I remember when that one closed.

I went a few months ago and it was not bad at all. I don't understand why people are complaining about it.
