I Do! Of course, I could do without the heat and humidity...but even that, one gets accustomed to it!

I chose option 2. It really is a city coming into its own. There are some things to be disliked about every city and Houston's heat and public transporation are the primary ones though. (Although, I really don't mind the heat.) There are so many pluses--the relatively inexpensive lifestyle and amenities one can have here, while simulating many of the conditions of more expensive urban areas (I love living in the Montrose and food and shopping here is not shabby at all) and proximity to the beach.

Some may think I hate Houston, but I don't hate the city, it has a lot of things to offer, unfortunately I don't care for most of them. What I hate is the weather here, summer is way to HOT and winter is way too mild for me.

Houston is a great inexpensive big city. Many things to see and do, places to eat etc. Not sure wwhy it doesn't get more love nationally. I dont care for the places I've been on the east coast other than Raleigh Durham area. West coast is nice but to expensive and liberal.

I love Houston but being a native - I don't like the changes & crowds I see so I don't think I'll always be a Houstonian as I used to think. I can't really explain what is I no longer like but it just doesn't feel as comfortable and safe (for a large city) as it used to. It just doesn't fit anymore but hard to explain why.
