If your are staying downtown there is a path that goes along the bayou that makes for a nice walk. Access is just south of the main post office. You walk right past the Aquarium which has a carosol.

Discovery Green right next to the Convention Center has a lot to do for kids, expecially shooting water fountains for them to run through and play in

Hi everyone,

Never been to Houston and I'm finally headed there for a long weekend during the second week of July. What do I need to see and do while I'm there? Where will I find people hanging out or in the streets?

I'll be coming from San Diego, in case you're wondering.

Thanks!

Midtown around dusk on any given day will have a lot of people hanging out. Montrose during the weekends. Be prepared to be hot and sticky.

Riiight, Wizzy.

Oh, and as for being a morale booster for the Boy Scouts...well, it kinda looks like those days are far behind you, if your posts are any indication.

EA, Negative Nancy would work, too.

I wanna go on an archaeological dig at the AstroWorld site. I expect I might even dig up some long-ago-fallen pocket change roughly around where the Looping Starship used to be.
