It's not free, but as I understand the fee to park is deducted from the actual bus fee.

$2 to use the garage + $2.50 bus fare. I guess they want to charge ppl who would meet at the parking lot/garage and then carpool, instead of using the buses.

It depends on how they did it. An average speed of 20 mph wouldn't very appealing for most commuters, unlike the buses that travel as fast as traffic in the HOT lanes allows. Something that allowed for pretty fast speeds in between stops would be more meaningful.

No, its cost $2 to park and $2.50 to ride the bus. So the total fare is the same.

Yes I am waiting for hyper loop kind of thing in Houston. I might be retired by then unfortunately.
