Just called them to check. Seems like they sell fresh but not surprisingly the prices are like double the prices in under the Kemah bridge

snapper is 10.99 and in Kemah it was assuming it is the same, 5.99

anyways you pay for comfort

But the taste was not there. I am a fan of golden pompano and this golden pompano has a different texture inside than the one farmed and imported from China. It tastes good enough and cost 3.49/lb vs farmed china is 3.99 everywhere

Striped bass is white meat I liked it but the meat was not tough like it supposed to be it is kinda loose texture. My wife did not like it, I was okay and my son gobbled up all of it.

I saw red snapper not frozen fresh when I was there. It is smaller than the ones sold in HEB and Costco and it looked really fresh and live red color, I will buying that next time

The reason golden pompano was just okay not superb is I guess because it is from gulf of mexico warm water. The oiler the fish the tastier. That is why norwegian saba which is the best alternative I have eaten has this distinct heavy oily taste and the color is screaming like I am from deep antarctica.
Rose's Seafood? That's the best one under the bridge there. Although I am not all that adventurous when it comes to fish. Redfish, flounder, trout, freshwater catfish and shrimp is all better than what you get at your typical grocery store. And spending $50-60 will get you a whole lot of different things. I'm surprised how many people come from all across town to go there and load up their coolers. It's out there-- another 20-30 minutes past Clear Lake.
