I think San Francisco is literally nearly twice as expensive as Houston. seriously.

I agree the weather in Houston is great 6 months. And somewhat very hot, humid and uncomfortable for the remaining of the year.
But the hot nasty weather starts in mid-March and doesn't stop until mid-September. All people are entitled to their opinions, and no opinions are necessarily wrong. However, there are opinions that are plausible and there are opinions that aren't.
Mid-March? It's not that bad early. I'd say Mid-March to probably Early October it will get stupid hot in Houston. Heck, in April, you can get days where it's in the upper 70s for highs and upper 50s for lows.

You wouldn't be surprised, but yet there isn't. In zoned cities there are strip clubs across the street (and we're talking two-lane street here) from high schools and porn shops above churches. Somehow money creates exemptions from zoning laws and politicians get their pockets lined. I really don't think Houston needs that.

The best though is taking your European guest to Goode & Co for a real Texan meal then visit Carters across the parking lot where you must show them the sold out rack of "Modern Sporting Rifles".

Now that's the Texan experience!
I don't get it. This would simply be a variation of the Sheetz-Cabela's/Bass Pro Shops-Toys-R-Us combination found throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. Kind of boring. Maybe throwing in the Goode Co. creates the Texan experience?
