I have not been to Red Cat since it moved, but I went to the old one quite a few times.

The first time I went, I was with friends from out of town and a waiter was outside begging people off of the street to step in. we did and was glad we did.

It was totally empty at first but our presence gave the entertainment something to do and helped lured more people into the spot. Once filled the atmosphere was really nice. The staff was extremely friendly and in appreciation of helping getting people in they gave us free appetizers and drinks. I guess no one wants to go to empty businesses so restaurants lure people in with free stuff so that the place wont look empty.

Anyway I hope they are doing well at the new spot

Another hot spot that has alot of R&B acts,Rap,Poets,Jazz is Cafe 4212. A nice area to socialize and listen to some good unheard music.

Beto I love quality House music like NYC style or Chicago. Kenny Dope Gonzalez, Masters at Work type of stuff.

About as mainstream I get is Felix Da Housecat or Swedish House Mafia.
