Hello all!
We are relocating to the H-Town area for my job and in looking for a home with great schools and family friendly env, we came across CCR. After getting over the sticker shock of MUD taxes (hadn't heard of those previously) we decided to make the move with TM in the new 60' section just behind the newer Model home park off of S. Fry. As we were going over paperwork we ran across a section about "Proposed Drill Sites"...
Should this be a concern? A couple are right in the middle of some of the sections.Seems like a bad thing to have 6 o/g drill sites throughout the community but maybe they won't even happen since they are "proposed"...

What I understand is that this area has a lot of drill sites that have been drilled previously or some that have been kept aside if in the future someone decides to come by and look for oil. They have to keep these sites free of encumbrances or permanent structures - so most drill sites end up being parks or open areas. I dont think we are in risk of the mineral and oil rights owners coming by and opening up a drill out there.

Yup, we have the big park behind our house and if anything you'll see one of those u-shaped pipes installed at some point in the future. Drive through Cinco and you'll see them all over. They are small and usually have some landscaping around them. We were concerned too until we talked to the builder and someone else we know that works for one of the big oil companies and lives there as well. And congrats, you'll be happy with TM and CCR.

Well, what are you afraid of? It's not like you drink well water there nor do these stripper wells affect the ground water.
