Anyone else here having their allergies going crazy for the past week? I've had the worst sore throat with a cloudy stuffy head and nausea. I just moved here a year ago and they have never been this bad for this long. Is this normal?

Where did you move from? Welcome to Houston, yes it is normal. If it keeps up see an ENT doctor and get an allergy test done to see if it something that can be kept under control. This week air quality is good but it is really humid so the air is thick and whatever is bothering you and sticking around.

Do you have mushrooms or toadstools popping up in your yard or around the area due to the rain? If so, mold spores may be the culprit. Pick them and throw them out... don't run over them with the lawn mower or they will just spread.

I swear by this : Honey, Tea and a slide of lemon.

Every morning, make a cup of hot tea and put in a table spoon of honey (local honey is better). You can add in a few drops of lemon. Drink it the first thing in the morning. You'll get relief in a few days .

Better yet, drink your tea before your allergy season to prevent it to kick into full gear.

OMG! I just suffered the worst allergy attack since I moved here back in '08. I had it since last week.

Bad allergies can lead to a sinus infection. So if you're still stuffy, congested and with lots of pressure, go see your doc.

Also, Xylitol nasal spray works wonders!
