They're a huge waste of money. No doubt, they clean the air close to the return grills. But all the stuff you have floating in the other areas of your house will never get drawn into the system.

Better to get some smaller air purifiers and place them in different areas of your home. Ourselves, we have four, and they actually make a huge difference. Of course, you still need pleated filters in your main system (never buy fiberglass filters) to protect your coil.

For what it's worth, I'm an air conditioner technician.

Neti-pots, sinu-sense, etc. are all sold at Walgreens, CVS and any drug store.
